Some Unsolicited Comments On the Recent LHS Reunion
Great job! We 60's folks had a wonderful time last Saturday. A gang of
is took the idea of meeting for dinner before, and as a result were quite late
for the festivities. So although hectic, it was a fun.
From Jane Richardson 63 Reunion was great fun thanks to you and your committee's

function of that sort...

...You all did a wonderful job as usual...I can't believe anyone would miss such
a great time... I think the name tags this year were wonderful, such an
improvement....You could even read them from across the room and it made it so
much easier to spot those you wanted to visit... Great job...
From Leslie Parker ' 61. Well, I know that you cannot hear it, but I'm am giving
you all a standing ovation for an absolutely WONDERFUL job! The reunion
was great....and all due to your huge commitment of time and effort. I
thoroughly enjoyed myself, as I sure did all who attended. Thank you all
again for caring enough to follow through with what I'm sure was an enormous
undertaking! If there is anything I can do to help with future reunions, please
let me know...I am more than willing to serve. Again, my thanks for a memorable
evening with memorable friends.

From John Sampson ' 61. Hi All. Just a short note to congratulate the committee,
you guys and gals are a "great team", what a job you did, this was the
damn best re-union we have ever had, only problem is that it was too short. You
can be really proud of a job well done, thanks.
My only regret was so many that I wanted to say hello to that I never found, I
can only hope we have another opportunity.
I don't know how you can improve on this one, but if it can be done your the
guys that could do it.
From Chuck Litchfield ' 60: What a wonderful get together on Saturday
night! It was so nice to connect with people from my days at LHS.
Both my wife, Jeanne , and I enjoyed the evening. Thank you to all the people
who put so much time into the planning. We look forward to the next
reunion!
From Linda Parker Bailey '64. Ann, my husband Bob & I would just like you
& the whole committee to know what a great job you all did putting last
nights reunion together. We appreciate all the effort you put in to a great
evening. As long time committee members ourselves, with our reunions, we know
how much fun it can be & also all that it involves to get it up & going.
So again, we had a wonderful time & enjoyed seeing everyone. Fondly. Lynda
(Parker) Bailey
From Diane Rowlan, Thank you and the rest of the committee for doing such a wonderful job of organizing the reunion. It was great seeing so many old friends.
From Henri Tuck. Thanks for a great time.
From Skip Smith: The committee did such a GREAT job. No easy task. You really thought of everything - pictures, food, name tags (super job Lee), music, website, searching for and contacting people, picture boards, etc. etc.. We really had a wonderful night seeing old friends again. I can't even start to imagine how much time and effort you put into the reunion. Everything was perfect. Please give me have a lion's share of the workload for the next one. I would love to help. Thanks again, we really enjoyed ourselves. Looking forward to the next one.
From Anne Marsasa. Great reunion, lots of fun.
From Dick Stuart. Congratulations! When is the next one. Prereunion 61 and big one were wonderful.
From Joyce Beauchesne. Thank you so much!! We had a wonderful time. We began our evening with dinner at Ruthie Baskins' Mom's home on Adams St. Four of us (Sally Warren, Carolyn Redick, Ruthie and myself) are old neighborhood friends that have known one other since toddlers. Ruthie's Mom still lives in the same house near Fiske School. Then, on to the reunion. It is so much fun being with the folks we were so close to as "kids". The committee did such a great job putting this together. I can appreciate how much planning and work it takes. Thank you all! Take care, and stay in touch.
From Kris Hodgedon: Again, THANK YOU to ALL who spent hours and effort planning and making another LHS reunion a totally enjoyable evening. The euphoria in the room was obvious. I so appreciate what you all did to bring such a wonderful gathering to fruition.
From Dick Grinnell: Great effort and great turnout! Really enjoyed talking with old classmates. The big name tags were a boon to those of us with tri-focals. The decorations and old pictures about the hall were a nice touch, as was the memorial section for those we have lost. Thank you for your hard work and a fine event.
From Scott Crout: Bob and I both had a terrific time. What a party! Outdid the last reunion I went to! Seeing everyone again, and a special suprise - to see friends from my neighborhood who I hadn't seen since we played baseball together! Turned back the clock! Talked about our parents and kids, and how our lives had changed. Great bringing childhood memories up to the present. Ann, you and the commitee outdid yourself in making this happen. Gave us a special evening, to add to the memories we made 40 years ago. Also think the format worked very well. To have the name tag table in the main room, to be in plain sight when folks first came in, then moving it later to the side, to accommodate more people. The chat room on the side was good for low-key conversation. And the bar removed from the main area was good too, letting the folks be a bit more rowdy, while not affecting regular conversation. Tables on the side for when feet got tired - also a good idea. And very cool to lower the lights when the dancing started, for a club atmosphere. All this made for a very easy and effective way to reminisce, and changed the scene as the evening moved along - from "How are you?" to "Let's party!" Can't really think of changes in the format - it worked really well.
I've been meaning to respond for some time. My opinion? Fabulous! Don't
change a thing! People come to reunions to meet and greet, not to eat!
The casualness of the affair, the timing of the reunion, only encourage more
people to attend. I love the multiple years together as so many of us have
friends across the years. My only problem, and it is mine, there wasn't
enough time to talk or see everyone. You and your committee are to be
congratulated. Your time and hard work was clear to see and deeply
appreciated.
